Building Growth – What is it and What is it doing?

It was great to learn at our event last night just how much is going on in the region to address the problems the construction industry is facing.  We were very lucky to have Mark Pendlington, Chair of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, give the lowdown on what New Anglia LEP are doing.  We all know that Norfolk is a great place to live and work but it’s good to know that through the New Anglia LEP, word is getting out there.  A tremendous amount of money has been brought into the region with several projects being funded by New Anglia LEP for training the next generation of construction workers.

Building Growth (a sector group of New Anglia LEP) has developed four work streams and Saul Humphrey, Chair of Building Growth, introduced Mark Pendlington, Christina Sadler, Helen Clements, Georgia Wastell, Andrew Savage and Jonathan Cage who gave the following presentations:

BUILDING GROWTH

SKILLS

HOUSING

PLANNING

UTILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Through Building Growth, both public and private sectors are meeting regularly to ensure we move forward collaboratively and make Norfolk an even better place to work, live and play.

Many thanks to all our speakers and to Mott MacDonald for sponsoring the event.
